Advanced Manufacturing

National Manufacturing Institute Scotland

The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland Industry Doctorate Programme (NMIS-IDP) in Advanced Manufacturing formed an integral part of the NMIS Manufacturing Skills Academy, with 30 industry sponsored PhD awards being launched during 2018/19.

The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) is an industry-led international centre of manufacturing expertise. It aims to make Scotland and the UK a global leader in advanced manufacturing. Industry, academia and public-sector support bodies will work together to transform skills, productivity and innovation in the sector.

In delivering the NMIS Industry Doctorate Programme as part of the NMIS Manufacturing Skills Academy SRPe worked closely with our key industry and government agency stakeholders to deliver industry doctorate projects designed specifically around industry needs. The programme was delivered in collaboration with the advanced manufacturing industry community involving OEMs, SMEs and other supply-chain partners.
